‘Brakes to run’: Between the traditional vision and agile methods in the innovation management implementation process

The Brakes to Run case was developed for subjects related to Innovation and Product Development of Business Administration and Entrepreneurship, focusing on lato sensu graduate courses. The case was inspired by the selection process of the innovation manager of AB Mauri, a producer of confectionery and bakery solutions, a Brazilian subsidiary of ABF. It addresses the concepts of innovation process, innovation funnel, agile methods, and change management. Its learning objectives are (i) increasing knowledge of the innovation funnel and agile methods, recognizing the advantages and disadvantages of each method; and (ii) raising awareness of the need for alignment and change management.
